Project 365, Week 52

That's a wrap!  The end of 2015 included traveling many more miles, but a wonderful visit with old friends.  And I big sigh of relief as I wrap up this baby of mine.

Project 365 Week 51

It's finally here!  The holidays always include lots of travel for us, but it's always a joy to celebrate with our family members, some of whom travel much farther than we do.  And Christmas Day, of course, can only be spent in Christmas pajamas.

Project 365 Week 50

Gingerbread houses were decorated outside this week (didn't you know that this is the rule when it's over 55 degrees in December?!?

Project 365, Week 49

Never fear - Batman/Robin/random-made-up-superhero is here to guard the Christmas tree this year!  But she still has time to play with her Grandpa while her brothers make the most of a very warm December (albeit with a few days of crazy frozen fog!).

Project 365 Week 48

The holiday season is here!  Decorating, shopping, and of course, the elf is back (for better or for worse, we only forgot to move him twice!).  Yes, this may be a very busy time of the year, but it's also one of my personal favorites as we celebrate with family and friends.

Project 365 Week 47

The last of the November gratitude images . . .

I'm grateful for endless new discoveries, little girls who love to play dress-up, and not-so-little boys who still love to color while waiting for Thanksgiving haircuts.  I'm grateful for comfort, brotherly love, and childhood play.  Lastly, I'm thankful for an elf that keeps my kids in line during the holiday season.  Okay, well MOSTLY in line.  :)

Project 365 Week 46

The November Gratitude Challenge:

A bit late in updating the 365 blog, but here are some gratitude photos.  This week, I'm grateful for expressions of pure joy, lunch buddies, and technology.  We're thankful for God's surprising gifts, warmth (it was a chilly night outdoors!), good friends, and chicken and waffles.  Lastly, I'm thankful for celebrations with my little ones (and this may be one of my favorite photos of our littlest!).

Project 365 Week 45

The November gratitude challenge continues . . .

This week, I'm grateful for superheroes who keep our neighborhood safe, our local library where we have spend countless hours in the children's department, and children who can pump their own legs while swinging.  Then there are the rainy puddles that make us appreciate the sunny days,  the warmth of indoors, and my wonderful Cub Scouts who spent their Saturday collecting food for the food bank.  Lastly, I'm including my little one's gratitude for all things pink, especially a bright pink bowling ball that took almost a full minute to make it down the lane to the pins.

Project 365 Week 44

November is here, Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and it brings together a great chance to document those things I am thankful for.  So during the month of November, I am attempting a Gratitude Challenge.

The week, we are thankful for healthy gums (and dentist visits!), the chance to live in the town of our alma mater, children who love the outdoors, peaceful and warm November evenings (however rare they may be), these little bunny feet, our tiny fairy, and bountiful harvests.

Project 365 Week 43

All Hallows Eve is here!  This week was full of Halloween adventures, crazy costume parades, pumpkin patches, and apple picking.  Yes, we crammed a lot of activities into this week, and even with daylight savings time, we're still trying to get caught up on sleep.  These two little minions and their sweet, sweet dragon have now put away the costumes until another year . . .

Project 365 Week 42

The fall colors are abundant!    The middle of October brought us some beautiful fall days outside, perfect for pumpkins, hikes, and some extracurricular time at school (complete with a book fair and art time).

Project 365 Week 41

We seem to be a little confused as to what season it really is here.  Abundant sunshine, warm rain, fall leaves, and snow?  Yes, we had it all this week.  I may be in denial that fall is coming to a close, but I'm doing my best to document it (okay, maybe a little overkill) while I still can this year!  Also thrown in this week's collection in a nervous moment prior to getting his flu shot (also a fall requisite).

Project 365 Week 40

Just because we are having cooler weather doesn't mean that we can't enjoy some PSU creamery ice cream too!  Our nights are full of activities (and photo sessions!), but we still try to make time to get together as a family.

Project 365 Week 39

Routines - we're trying to get back into one now that we're in the second month of the school year.  But let's face it; we lead a crazy, busy, awesome life right now.  So whether it's a grocery shopping trip with all three kids or a wedding without any kids, life continues to keep us on our toes!

Project 365 Week 38

It may be fall, but it's still beautiful outside, and we are spending as much time outdoors as possible.  The cold weather will be coming soon, but let's not wish away these warm days too quickly!

Project 365 Week 37

Fall is one of the busiest times of year for our family, so we're always out and about throughout the week.  Whether it's an after-school Fro-Yo party to support our school, watching Blue Band practice at PSU, tailgating for college football (remember to hydrate!), and soccer on Sunday afternoons, we are always on the go in September.

Project 365 Week 36

The warm weather is coming to a close, but we are still trying to enjoy some outdoor activities (oh, and summer dishes!) as much as possible.  We kicked off Labor Day with the Color Run, and no, I did NOT take my camera out during the run (the photo you see was taken post race while cleaning up before getting into the car).  Our little fairy princess also started preschool this week, but you will still see her featured maybe a little too prominently in my photos.  :)  And we finished the week off with a family visit to celebrate the 95th birthday of my amazing grandfather.  Now we are looking forward to another great week!

Project 365 Week 35

Back to school!  While I loved almost every lat little bit of summer, we were definitely ready for school to start again.  Yes, you read that right.  The kids were ready to go.  Back.  To.  School.  And of course the return of school also means the return of college football - We Are . . . Penn State!

Project 365 Week 34

Board Games, Books, Boxing, Buckets, and Buddies . . . As summer was winding to a close, we were hanging onto every precious last minute of summer life together.  Thanks for the laughs, summer.  We'l catch you on the flipside . . .

Project 365 Week 33

I know that life isn't exactly black and white, but some of my photos took on a black and white theme this week.  Not all of them, of course, but I found myself leaning towards a different look this week.  Good or bad, I can't say for sure - just different!
